The Nova Scotia peninsula is roughly the size of Switzerland, is located on Canada's east coast and borders the provinces of New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland & Labrador. Halifax is the capital and also the metropolis on Canada's Atlantic coast. The best way to discover the diversity of Nova Scotia is by motorhome or hire car. There are campsites and charming bed & breakfasts and hotels all over the province. Nature lovers will enjoy the extraordinary coastal landscapes, national parks with unspoilt forests and the highest tidal changes in the world. Families enjoy the idyllic setting of one of the many lakes or the numerous beaches and enchanting fishing villages. And the famous "Cabot Trail", one of the world's dream roads, is ideal for a road trip.
